Avantlink ranks high in the 2010 Inc. 500

Park City, Utah based AvantLink.com ranks #23 in the “Advertising & Marketing” industry by Inc. Magazine.  As a long time affiliate of the network and now Affiliate Manager for well established on-retailer Mountains Plus Outdoor Gear it’s been a pleasure watching  Avantlink.com become the best affiliate network in the industry.

For a three year period AvantLink recorded a 1651% growth rate with revenue of $189,059 in 2006, up to $3.3 million in 2009. The company was founded in 2005, and their web retailer-specific Affiliate network is 100% employee owned.

Affiliate Marketing Channel

The following stats show the potential growth within the affiliate channel,

* Total advertising spend is projected to grow by 10 percent in the next 5 years.
* Online ad spending has tripled in the last 10 years and is expected to grow by 60 percent in the next 5 years (from $22.7B in 2009 to $36.3B by 2014.
* The U.S. Affiliate Marketing Spend is projected to grow by 110 percent in the next 5 years (From $1.9B in 2009 to $4B by 2014.?

These statistics (source: Morgan Stanley) show quite clearly that there’s a shift from print towards Internet marketing and underlines the opportunity for continued growth that exists within performance marketing.

Android application for Avantlink Mobile

Do you have an Android mobile phone? Avantlink recently launched a new application called “AvantLink Mobile”, this app keeps you up-to-date with AvantLink stats wherever you go.

To install, search for “AvantLink” in the Market app on your Android phone, or just scan the barcode with your phone’s camera.  (If you don’t already have a barcode scanner installed on your phone, we recommend “ZXing“).  Scanning the barcode will cause your phone to automatically download the application from Android’s Market and start the installation process for you.

Outsourced Program Management

There are many benefits of outsourcing your Affiliate Program Manager! Most Outsourced Program Managers (OPM) charge a flat monthly rate and a performance based revenue share of sales for managing the affiliate program, which is much less then the cost of an Affiliate Manager’s annual salary. Since you’re not hiring a full-time employee, you’ll save money on benefits like health insurance, vacation days, sick days and human resources.

Additionally, outsourced affiliate managers are not the 8- 5 players and will often respond to affiliates and merchants during evenings and weekends.
